Wuling recreation area(武陵遊憩區) is situated in the center of Taiwan and is a valley that is formed by the Syue mountain range. It has spectacular scenery all year round and the shortest route to climb Syue Mountain passes through it. It is also well known because Cijiawan Creek that runs through Wuling is the home of Taiwan’s “national treasure" fish, the Formosan landlocked Salmon(Oncorhynchus masou formosanus台灣櫻花鉤吻鮭).The Fish-Viewing platform(觀魚台) is the best place to observe the salmon. Taiwan Salmon Eco Center is also now open to the public and provides an opportunity for the public to observe the salmon close up. On the way from the visitor center to Taoshan Waterfall the sounds of insects and birds are all around. At the end of the trail is the waterfall that cascades down from Tao Mountain. The air is full of Phytoncides and anions. Take some deep breaths here and enjoy the invigorating feeling of being immersed in nature

Bailan village(白蘭部落) is situated on the slope above Cingcyuan village(清泉部落) in Wufeng rural township at an elevation of 1200 meters. Guanwu recreation area(觀霧遊憩區) is well-known and Bailan is on the road-Nanqing Highway(南清公路)-that has to be taken to reach Guanwu, however, not many people know what it has to offer. As part of its efforts to promote the development of eco-tourism in the communities on the periphery of the national park, Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters has, for the first time, chosen Bailan as the venue for a Wufeng rural township eco-tourism activity. Bailan is an Atayal village. Most of the inhabitants are farmers and the crop is made up of vegetables and bamboo. As leisure and travel became more popular in Taiwan, home stays have been planned to allow the village to take advantage of the lovely scenery of the village and the tranquil surroundings and attract overnight stayers. The village looks out over Shangping Creek(上坪溪) and offers excellent views. With its village scenery, rich ecology and indigenous people’s culture, Bailan is a great place to enjoy a refreshing leisurely time. However, because of inadequate advertising it remains largely unknown.

To promote national park ecological conservation work and allow the public to understand its importance, raise the public's level of understanding of the natural environment and strengthen their sense of mission with regards to conservation, Shei-pa National Park Headquarters, “Green Life Recreational Development Association中華綠生活休閒發展協會” and “Water-wu Eco-tour Studio 親山水工作室” are jointly organizing three travel activities.
